Technology transfer is the movement of technology from its creator/developer to user especially as products or publications. This could also be described as the movement of new technology from developed areas to less developed areas. In the case of agriculture, these are technologies that enhance agricultural productivity. To achieve this VEDAMAN builds the capacity of the Communities and local NGOs through training i.e. acquisition of skills..

Projects Undertaken:

Training of Rift Valley and Eastern Provinces of Kenya field veterinarians and representatives from NGOs on Livestock Emergency Guidelines and Standards (LEGS)
Training of university and college students in nutrition.
Building capacities of communities to manage HIV and AIDS
Promoting more effective community-based control of trypanosomosis in camels, through the use of the diagnostic test Suratex® in Samburu district (2000)
Training of technical field staff in disease diagnosis and correlation of disease to climatic conditions, e.g., the Rift Valley Fever which is predisposed by floods (2002)
Community training in livestock movement control as a means of disease control
Participatory development and testing of extension material on improved crops and livestock husbandry
